Mother's Day is one of those days that is happy family event, starting with a breakfast tray, cards and flowers, maybe chocolates or surprises followed by being taken out for lunch and an afternoon of lounging around hugging children and feeling loved.
If you have daughters probably....
If you have sons, then it's a very different kind of day.
Starts with usual chores, finding football boots, getting football kit ready for the early match at 9:30am. Wrapping up warm to stand on a freezing touchline for an hour and a half followed by washing football kit, pestering boys to do homework, giving them lifts to play football at the park with their mates followed by an afternoon watching football on the TV.
At some point there may be a card and chocolates if hubby has remembered to go out and buy them.
